The Healthy Marriage Grant The following is the text we used to secure the committment from school districts across the US to distribute hundreds of thousands of copies of the Healthy Marriage Pamphlet Series. The National Healthy Marriage Institute is applying for a federal grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services to pay for the costs of printing and distributing healthy marriage pamphlets. These pamphlets teach basic relationship skills to help couples form and sustain healthy marriages. Studies have shown, on average, children whose parents form and sustain a healthy marriage do better on every single positive social outcome. This includes every positive educational and behavioral outcome. A partial list of the benefits of healthy marriages can be found at the following US Department of Health and Human Services website http://www.acf.hhs.gov/healthymarriage/benefits/index.html We need your help in distributing the pamphlets to parents of your students. If you are willing to distribute the pamphlets during the school year please sign the enclosed letter and send it back in the prepaid envelope. We have enclosed a copy of the pamphlets we would like distributed. The application deadline for the grant is June 30th.
